Note: The Jets came into the game against the Capitals having lost two straight and before the game even began they lost Sami Niku who was hurt warming up playing soccer. Once the contest got underway the home side took a 3-0 lead at about the midpoint of the 2nd and it was looking like it was going to be a bloodbath. However Nikolaj Ehlers would score once in the 2nd and then Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele would force this game to extra time. In the end the Jets lost 4-3 in a shootout but they earned a valuable point and would end the four game road trip 1-2-1. They are off today and will be back on the ice on Thursday as they conclude this home and home series against the Capitals in Winnipeg.
Note II: The Moose have another day of practice scheduled today as they continue to prepare for the Wolves this weekend. They found out on Tuesday that they will be without the services of veteran forward Ryan White who was suspended for two games after boarding an opponent in Laval this past weekend.
