Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note:  The Jets hit the ice for their first practice in awhile on Tuesday as they prepared for their three-game California road trip.  Following the skate at IcePlex coach Paul Maurice provided health updates on Bryan Little and Nathan Beaulieu.  It all starts tonight in San Jose where the Jets will hope look to tame the Sharks.  Optional skate/media availability is at 12:30 PM CT.  Check back for our pre-game report.

Note II:  After winning sevens straight games the Moose have hit a bit of a slide as they have lost their last two games on this seven-game road trip.  It won’t get any easier tonight when they take on the best team in the AHL at 7 pm in Milwaukee.  The Admirals have gone 10-0-0-0 in their last ten so it will take a big effort from Manitoba to arrest their losing streak at two games.

Jets news:

The Athletic Winnipeg:  Unveiling the Jets (and Thrashers) all-decade team.  (Paywall).  Ken looks back at the last nine years of NHL hockey in this city and then picks his top player at each position.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets Notebook.  Scott’s notes include: 1) Maurice knows coaches must evolve with players in today’s NHL. 2) Beaulieu health status.  3) Brossoit understanding.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets set to face much-improved Sharks team.  Scott’s big matchup is Sharks vs. Jets defence. His five keys to the game include: 1) Avoid a repeat. 2) Much-improved Sharks. 3) It was doing well. 4) Road warriors. 5) No Beaulieu.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets enjoying life on the road.  (Paywall).  They are going to need to be at their best considering the way the Sharks have been playing lately.
