Jets news:

The Athletic Winnipeg: With Blake Wheeler and Patrik Laine struggling, the Jets are getting by on hard work and heart.  (Paywall).  It ain’t gonna come easily for this Jets team all season long but perhaps if they can continue to bank points despite the overall team analytics, they could put themselves into a good position.

The Athletic Winnipeg:  A tale of two Jets rookies: David Gustafsson sticks around as Ville Heinola heads home.  (Paywall).  Don’t think many expected these two to get as many games in North America as they both achieved.  They are both very nice prospects for this organization and Ken looks at the Nordic duo.

Winnipeg Sun:  New-look Jets power-play ignites win over CanucksThe Jets appear to be turning things around and doing that on special teams will have a big impact on the results.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Hellebuyck backstops Jets to 4-1 win over Canucks.  (Paywall).  Mike recaps the action from his spot inside Bell MTS Place.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Finnish forward finds recipe for success.  (Paywall).  I’ve liked Joona Luoto’s game since training camp and when he was down with the Moose.  It felt like I had blinders on as I expected him to be one of the first guy’s recalled to the big club.  You can expect him to make the most of this opportunity.

Sportsnet: Kyle Connor helps Jets beat Canucks for the ninth time in a rowConnor certainly seems like he’s got his game back in order.

Jets video:

TSN: Roslovic shines on new line with Wheeler and Ehlers. With the slew of injuries to the Jets, Blake Wheeler was moved to the middle between Jack Roslovic and Nikolaj Ehlers. Dennis Beyak and Kevin Sawyer explain how Roslovic thrived on the new line and also touch on the strong play of Connor Hellebuyck.
