Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose news and audio.

Note:  The Jets look to end this three-game homestand against the Senators this evening at Bell MTS Place with a better effort than we saw Thursday night against Colorado or even last Saturday in Ottawa when they played these same Sens.  Of course there is extra emphasis surrounding the game with all the speculation that the Jets/Senators franchises could be trading partners before the NHL Trade Deadline.  Of course we have to focus on hockey so I should add that morning skate gets underway at 9:30 am (check out the pre-game report for the latest news and audio) followed by puck drop at 6 pm.

Note II:  If you haven’t been paying attention the Moose are on an improbable run that has launched them back into the playoff race by virtue of their play at Bell MTS Place.  Courtesy of last night’s 3-2 win over the Wolves they have points in 12 straight games (11-0-0-1) at home and they sit just two points out of the fourth and final playoff spot in the Central Division.  They finish off the homestand with a pair of games starting on Sunday/Monday afternoons the Admirals, a team that sits one point up on Manitoba.

Note III:  Tune in for three hours of Winnipeg Jets and NHL hockey talk on TSN 1290 Winnipeg starting at 9 am.  You can listen here.
