Note: The Jets were off on Saturday as the team took the time to recover following their 4-2 win over the Red Wings on Friday here in Winnipeg to kick off three straight games here in Winnipeg. Game two is tonight as they take on a Ducks team that comes in having lost ten games in a row (0-7-3). Morning skate gets underway at 9:30 am for the Jets. Be sure to check out the pre-game report for the latest news and audio with puck drop at 5 pm.
Note II: The Moose concluded a two-game series against the Rocket last night at Bell MTS Place falling 6-5 in a shootout. It was a wild game that saw a number of lead changes. Tucker Poolman returned to the ice after being out of the lineup since November 23rd with a concussion and he looked solid picking up an assist in the loss. The Moose will be back on the ice tomorrow as they get ready for a pair of games this week against the Admirals starting on Monday night.
Winnipeg Sun: Five keys to Jets vs Ducks. Ken’s big matchup is John Gibson vs. Connor Hellebuyck. His five keys to the game include: Complete the task. 2) Home sweet home. 3) Wounded, yet dangerous. 4) Keep streaking. 5) Watch the captain.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets backup position in good hands with Brossoit providing stability. Ken with some interesting thoughts on what could happen with the Jets backup netminder.
TheScore: Predators, Jets keeping an eye on Flyers’ Simmonds. I’ve always been a big fan of Simmonds game so he might be a nice piece to add but at what cost and would that address the area of greatest need for the Jets?
