Note:  The Jets kicked off Sunday AM with the news they had recalled Sami Niku and signed Logan Shaw to a one-year, two-way deal.  Later that day they continued their winning ways at Bell MTS Place last night with a commanding 5-2 win over the Devils.  Today the team is off.  They will be back on the ice on Tuesday to practice ahead of their game the following night against the defending Stanley Cup champion Capitals.

Note II:  The Moose are in Texas to kick off a four-game road trip which begins with the always fun school day game at 10:30 am on Tuesday.  Today they will practice at 12:15 pm at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets find balance in win over DevilsThe Jets were able to get all four lines out against New Jersey and they benefited greatly as we finally saw the 4th for more than a cup of coffee.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets overwhelm Devils in 5-2 win.  (Paywall).  Mike recaps the game action. Scheifele, Jets hand Devils third straight loss. Early in the 1st it just had the feeling of “one of those games” and while the Devils were able to make somewhat of a game of things the Jets eventually were able to put it out of reach.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets recall Sami Niku to replace an injured Dmitry KulikovThe news broke that the exciting Finnish D prospect would get the call just before yesterday’s optional morning skate.  Niku was understandably excited at the prospect of getting this opportunity with the big club.
