Note: The Jets held on for a 3-1 win over the Canes to kick off the six-game homestand on the right skate as Laurent Brossoit made a regular season debut to remember. The Jets are scheduled to practice at 12 pm as they prepare to face the Oilers tomorrow night.
Note II: The big news of the day ahead of the game was Marko Dano being placed on waivers by the Jets which Winnipeg coach Paul Maurice addressed in his post-game comments explaining why the team made this move. Update: He was claimed by the Colorado Avalanche.
Note III: The Moose have a week of practice starting today at 10 am at the IcePlex as they prepare to face the San Antonio Rampage twice next weekend here in Winnipeg.
