Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Thorburn’s Pavelian pointHe did a little bit of everything last night and rewarded the faith coach Noel has placed in the GST line.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Things just DuckyThere are hockey legends and then there is The hockey legend and in this city, Dale Hawerchuk will always be the leader of that pack.  When he was shown on the jumbotron, not surprisingly the 15,004 fans at the MTS Centre rose to their feet to give the former Jets 1.0 #1 draft pick a standing ovation.  Gary with an interesting Q & A with him, getting his thoughts on the return of the Jets and more importantly, how the Jets draft choice are doing with his team in Barrie.

Winnipeg Sun:  SnapshotsGreat win, homestand, now about that road record.  Good start for Clitsome.  Jets came out flying.  MTS Centre crowd targets Miller time.  Jets scored first in 7 of 8.  Thorburn with more humour.  Kane too much complaining?  Randy Jones with shift of the night.  Mark Stuart save of the night.  Antropov’s play.  Thorburn’s goal gets billionaire to react.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets owning opponents at homeI was speaking with a Sabres reporter following the game and he told me that it was one thing to listen on TV, but to actually be at the MTS Centre was an entirely different experience The Jets went 5-1-2 in their last ‘big’ homestand and have put themselves in a very good position for their playoff push.  Of course now they need to be road warriors, especially this week when they play a back to back in Vancouver and Calgary.

NHL.com:  Playoff pulse – Jets inch closer to top of SoutheastWhile the Jets gave themselves a bit of breathing room from the Capitals and narrowed the gap on the Panthers both those teams have 2 games in hand.

Winnipeg Free Press:  The night hockey took a back bench to humanityAlways important to give back to the community and we see this from the highest positions of power within this organization.
