CBC:  Jets try to cool off Sabres.  Tonight is all about who wants it more.  Will it be decided in 60 minutes?  Will it take OT or a shootout?  Don’t forget that game time is 7 pm not 7:30.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Tailgaiting teams targeting JetsWith just over a month remaining in the season it looks like it will be a battle to the end for the 3rd spot in Southeast between the Panthers, Capitals, Lightning and Jets and for 8th place between all of the above teams as well as the Leafs, Sabres and possibly even the IslandersYou may have payed for the seat, but tonight and all the remaining home games, you will only need the edge!!

Winnipeg Free Press:  Bogo a no-go for a week or soA huge loss to this team just as they need him most.  It will be an opportunity for Grant Clitsome or Mark Flood to step it up and fill his spot.

Winnipeg Sun:  Hard-working Thorburn keeps Jets looseHe handled his goal drought with humour, he is quite self-depreciating, is always laughing and keeping it loose in the room.  He is an ideal teammate, one who will fire off an assist or just as easily drop the gloves to come to his GST linemates defenceHe loves the city and in turn it is clear that the fans love his style.
Thorburn reacts

NBC Sports:  Tonight on NBC Sabres at Jets in a…… playoff battleAs if the MTS Centre crowd didn’t have reason enough to be loud, tonight they will be playing to an American audience, so it is time to show why the city is back in the NHL.

Next opponent news – Buffalo Sabres:

Buffalo News:  Sabres top line goes silent during win streakA true testament to team play when your top line goes cold and you can still put together victory after victory.

Buffalo News:  Sabres face their biggest game yetBoth teams have been playing “biggest game of the year” hockey for quite some time now.  Which team will come out with the ‘W’ tonight is anyone’s guess but there is no questioning that both teams need the 2 points.

Winnipeg Sun:  Sabres on roll The success of this team begins and ends with Ryan Miller, who is starting to regain his Vezina form after the controversial Milan Lucic hit which seemed to be the beginning of the end for the Sabres this season.  However they find themselves just 2 points out of the 8th and final playoff spot heading into tonight’s action against Winnipeg.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Ex-Moose standout Hodgson returnsThe trade could be key to his development as he sees his ice time increase with the added responsibility of becoming a goal scorer for the score-by-committee Sabres.
