Note: The Jets kicked off their ten-game home stand with a massive 3-1 win over Tampa Bay who came into last night’s game as the top team in the NHL. In addition to the victory which was the Jets 30th of the season they continued their home dominance improving to 18-3-1 at Bell MTS Place. The game was also the 100th of Michael Hutchinson’s career and was clearly one the goalie relished. The Jets are scheduled to practice at 12 noon today.
Note II: The Moose are reconnecting today in Rockford where they will have an informal skate as they get ready to kick off six straight games on the road. The Moose are 17-4-1 in 22 road games this season and have points in eleven straight on the road (10-0-1). Friday’s game against the IceHogs will mark the first of 17 straight against the central division.
Note III: Today is #BellLetsTalk day which is a day to help break the silence around mental illness and support mental health, a subject which I’ve previously written about. I think, especially in these polarizing times, it is important to reiterate that while you may be passionate about the subject of sport please try and think before you tweet. Sometimes waiting that extra second or two can make a huge difference in someone’s life.
