Note: The Jets dominance at home continued on Sunday as they demolished the visiting Senators 5-0. The Jets home record is now 10-2-1 at the less than Friendly confines of Bell MTS Place and they are 17-6-4 overall, which has them first in the Western Conference and second overall in the entire NHL. The team cancelled practice today and head to Michigan in advance of their game against the Wings on Tuesday.
Note II: The Moose spent Sunday at the Assiniboine Park Zoo as they handed off a cheque for the proceeds from their Polar Bear jersey sales, unveiled their new Polar Bear uniform which they will wear January 14th and to meet fans. The team has no games this week but will practice out at IcePlex. They go for their 10th win in a row next Saturday afternoon when they welcome the Milwaukee Admirals to town.

Jets news:
Metro News: Attention to detail runs in the family of Jets goalie Hellebuyck. Judy goes back to the early years on this one about the Jets top netminder.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets cookin’ at home. As I illustrated above the Jets have been exceptional at home. In fact their last regulation loss was October 17th. Article also covers the Jets power play, missing Connor, Hellebuyck getting shutout and Stone’s homecoming.
Winnipeg Sun: Wheeler and Scheifele on fire as Jets win again. These two continue to push each other to reach new heights. Plenty of mutual admiration between 55 and 26.
Winnipeg Free Press: Perreault steps up after Connor goes down. (Paywall). Nice luxury to have when you can move a “4th” liner up to the top line and not miss a step. Of course when it is Mathieu Perreault there isn’t much of a surprise that he was able to adjust to playing alongside Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler.
Winnipeg Free Press: Flying higher and higher. (Paywall). Sky seems to be the limit for this Jets squad who just keep adding points to the standings bank.
Sportsnet: Jets star Mark Scheifele is the NHL’s biggest hockey fan. Missed this long read on the Jets top centre from yesterday which is all about how he lives, eats and breathes NHL hockey.
Sportsnet: Jets like flying under the radar as best NHL team in Canada. I suspect this team will not celebrate until they hoist the Stanley Cup because they are really trying to not get too excited over their wins.
Sportsnet: Hometown Hockey (Mark Scheifele). (Video). Mark Scheifele, stops by the Hometown Hockey Festival on Saturday to chat with Tara Slone and sign autographs for fans.
The Athletic: A closer look at Corsi, how much it matters, and what it tells us about the Jets so far. (Paywall). Learn more about what the numbers mean and how it impacts the Jets.
