Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Winnipeg Sun:  Fake Jets gear hitting market.  Can’t say I’m shocked by reports that counterfeiters are already beatting the real product to market.  Just remember the old saying that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.  C’mon people, you’ve waited 15 years for hockey to return, you can wait a few more months to purchase legit jerseys.

NHL.com:  Selanne won’t decide future until September.  Even though we know that for Teemu its Anaheim or retirement, any Finnish Flash news always goes into the Jets category for us as we live by the “you’ve saying there’s a chance” motto.

Jets Nation:  Jets won’t have trouble flying in 2011-12.  Guys at Jets Nation do a nice job breaking down the literal flying miles the Jets team will endure next season.  Luckily they are the youngest team in the NHL so hopefully that will offset any flying fatigue.

Around the NHL:

Winnipeg Free Press:  NHL will face labour woes.  The CBA expires on my bday, so hopefully my present will be another extension between the NHL and the NHLPA.  That isn’t too much to ask now is it?

New York Times:  Rangers’ Avery accused of of shoving a police officer in L.A.  More details are coming out about this unfortunate incident.  Thankfully TMZ is there to cover the news.

Edmonton Journal:  Undrafted 17 year old Ryan Murray a Team Canada cinch.  If IC’s Richard’s powers of prognosticating are accurate and the Jets don’t make the playoffs next season, then we should be keeping our eyes on next season’s draft class.
