Note:  The Jets will hit the ice at 10 AM for today’s pre-game skate.  They will then head off to Minnesota for the final pre-season contest against the Wild at 7 pm.  Keep it locked to and on social media including Twitter| Facebook | Instagram for both pre and post game Jets news.

Note II:   The Moose are in North Dakota to take on the Wild tonight in Fargo.  Manitoba will hit the ice at Scheels Arena for a 10 am pre-game skate and then will take on Iowa at 7 pm.

Afternoon Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun:  Ted’s Notebook. Includes Perreault’s wing man, Hutchinson playing it cool, Lowry in danger zone, Scheifele keeping it going and an injury update.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Former teammate preaches patience to Jets fans as Laine adjusts to stardom.  (Paywall).  In case Jets fans were already starting to panic.

Illegal Curve:  2016 6th round pick Mikhail Berdin heads to the USHL.  He’s heading to Sioux Falls after spending the week with the Manitoba Moose.

Illegal Curve:  Jets and Wild projected lines.   A look at the expected lines, D pairs and starting goalies for both Winnipeg and Minnesota for tonight’s game in St. Paul.  Includes audio from Mark Scheifele, Ben Chiarot and Coach Paul Maurice.

Jets news:

Sportsnet:  Jets can’t afford to let Jacob Trouba push them around.  It was an interesting game of chicken played between the two sides in silence and it will be interesting to see what happens as we get closer and closer to that December 1st deadline.

Winnipeg Sun:  Nine forwards competing for two spots on Jets.  I broke out my abacus and the numbers don’t look very good for seven of those guys.  However it does translate well for fans who want to see the most competitive roster that this team has had to kick off an NHL season since the team came to Winnipeg in 2011-12.


Winnipeg Sun:  Laine adjusting to NHL life.  One could almost say he’s learning to live life in the fast laine….that’s right.  I went there.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Mike’s Notebook.  (Paywall).  Includes: Pavelec not bothered by competition for net, Peluso trims down, The Strait goods and Heritage Classic tickets.

Winnipeg Free Press:  More talk, more Finnish around the net, Perreault advises young Nordic linemates. (Paywall).  It really never gets old using puns.  The Jets veteran centre talks about getting his chance to play with the two talented Finns.
