Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Latest Jets and Moose news.

Note:  The Moose get a second crack on this California road trip against the Condors.  They were taken to school on Tuesday night in Bakersfield 6-3.  Puck drops tonight at 9 pm at Rabobank Arena.

Note II:  Over in Pennsylvania, Jets 2015 1st round pick Kyle Connor had another big night getting two goals and three assists in a Wolverines 7-4 win over the Nittany Lions.  In 22 games this season he has 20 goals and 21 assists.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff has not reached the bar he set for himself.  Part two of this three part series goes to Paul Friesen.  He certainly doesn’t mince words in this article.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Chasing a top draft choice kills locker-room spirit.  (Paywall).  Hard tank vs. soft tank vs. no tank.  So many options and just 33 games left to go.  And it certainly won’t be an easy sell in the locker room as Scott Campbell knows and writes.  And even the Jets (as can be seen below) are looking up to see what will happen.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Buff gets in some ice time while fishing on Lake Winnipeg.  (Paywall).  Sounds like big #33 really kicked off the All-Star break with a nice day of fishing.  While I enjoy fishing I’ve never arrived via helicopter.  Might have to give it a shot.
