Note II:  The Moose have a pair of 7 pm games this weekend as they face the Toronto Marlies tonight and tomorrow night at the MTS Centre.  This includes a Polar Bear jersey night on Saturday.

Note III:  Tune into the Illegal Curve Hockey Show on TSN 1290 Winnipeg as the guys will recap the Jets road trip, look ahead to the game against the Sabres and take a look around the NHL starting at 9 am until noon.  Guest:  Claude Noel (former Jets head coach, current Devils scout).

Note IV:  Today we unveiled a comprehensive breakdown of the music you might hear at the MTS Centre during a Winnipeg Jets game.  Click here.

Jets news:

ESPN:  Byfuglien goes one on one.  (Video).  Big #33 spoke with ESPN about the All-Star game, getting back into the playoff race and trade rumours.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets Whiteboard: Trouba, Chiarot handle their opposite-side lineups well.  (Paywall). Watch as former NHLer  J. P. Vigier breaks it down for you.  (video).

Winnipeg Free Press:  Weary Jets push Stars to the limit.  (Paywall).  Coach Maurice spoke about the difficulty that his team faced on this road trip.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets end road trip with shootout loss to Stars.  (Paywall).  It was a tough game but they were able to salvage a point against the top team in the Western Conference.

Winnipeg Free Press:  I’ll take you behind the highlights, Jets fans.  (Paywall).  Former Jets player turned columnist will take fans behind the scenes.

Global News:  Nic Petan and Jan Kostalek hope to return after getting benched.  Seems like an honest mistake.  One they are not likely to repeat.

Illegal Curve:  Connor Helleybuck named to AHL Central Division All-Stars.  Not sure he will be available to play in the game as I suspect he will still be up with the Jets.

Jets Audio:

TSN 1290 Winnipeg:  Rona Roundtable.  MSG Analyst Steve Valiquette tells Rick Ralph he is not surprised by Connor Hellebuyck’s success and expects it to continue.

Stars 2 Jets 1 in SO:

Illegal Curve:  Coach Maurice post-game scrum.  What stands out for him from that game?  Challenge for Hellebuyck to go stretches without a lot of action. More on Mathieu Perreault’s game.  Putting themselves into a good spot.  How big a factor is having gone through the challenge of climbing into the playoffs last season?  Looking forward to playing at MTS Centre?  Update on Scheifele?  Any update on Stuart?  Will he spend much time talking to his team about facing former players?

Moose news:

Winnipeg Sun:  Moose taking baby steps with season not exactly going as planned.  They have been much better of late although a lot of that can be attributed to the play of goalie Eric Comrie.

Kane Talk:

Winnipeg Sun:  Evander Kane:  “I’ve moved on from Winnipeg”.   Ken caught up with Kane and Bogosian in Chicago where they play tonight against the Hawks and got their thoughts on coming back to the city they played hockey in for almost four seasons.

TSN:  With Evander Kane, there are always questions.  Gary gives you plenty to chew on with his latest piece on the former Jets forward.

Sportsnet:  Kane’s Winnipeg return assured of one thing: Noise.  No doubt about that.  Sunday is going to be wild.

CBC:  Jets’ fans prep track suits for Evander Kane’s return.  Have I really become that much of a killjoy that I think this is all kinda lame?

Buffalo News: Kane’s Winnipeg return likely to be cold as ice.  Folks in Buffalo are also ramping up coverage of what is easily one of the most anticipated games on the calendar for either team.
