Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  O say can you see…Jets like Americans.  The commissioner of the USHL said it best in this tweet “No truth to rumors of #USHL Canadian office opening in Winnipeg — though we appreciate the faith in our league.”  

Winnipeg Free Press:  Winnipeg finds Day 2 surprise.  Folks were awfully happy that he ‘fell’ into a spot where the Jets could nab him.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets draft goes down smooth.  While it is easy to tout a team for how they drafted it is a tad premature when there are still so many factors that have to be known before it can be put in the win or lose column.  Having said that many pundits are giving the Jets the thumbs up for many of the selections they made.

Winnipeg Sun:  ‘Tough night’ turns to great day for Harkins.  It was a longer wait but the joy of finally getting to put on that NHL sweater was unmistakable to see in the face of the Jets prospect.

Sportsnet:  Highly touted Harkins not upset to fall to Jets.  While you could hardly expect him to say otherwise sometimes this can be used as extra motivation by a young gun as he attempts to take next step in his development.
