Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets don’t thrive 5-on-5.  Which is not a good thing if you want to be a playoff team.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Penalties frustrate Jets’ best efforts.  While the Jets PK remains hot the team burns a lot of energy killing off penalties.  Energy better used for pulling away in games.

Winnipeg Sun:  Paul Maurice says Jets focus should be on 5-on-5.  Big part of the plan will be this team staying out of the penalty box because they cannot simply continue the parade to the box and hope to compete.  Specially when the D core is as depleted as it already is.  Kirk’s column also covers Perreault and the refs, having no room for error and around the glass.
