Winnipeg Jets Mark Chipman and Kevin Cheveldayoff media availability pushed back as co-owner is ill

Meeting moved back as Jets co-owner is ill and wants to be present.

There was supposed to be a media availability today with Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff as well as team co-owner Mark Chipman to address the NHL choosing not to impose any discipline on Kevin Cheveldayoff with respect to the Brad Aldrich matter

That meeting has been pushed back to Tuesday according to a pair of hockey insiders:

Elliotte Friedman said:

Jets have moved the Mark Chipman/Kevin Cheveldayoff media conference from today until tomorrow. Chipman is ill, and wants to be present for any availability

Darren Dreger said:

The @NHLJets will delay todays media availability with GM Kevin Cheveldayoff and owner, Mark Chipman until tomorrow. Chipman has a severe case of vertigo. He is being treated by doctors. The Jets owner insists on being with Cheveldayoff when he meets with media tomorrow.

Here is a statement from the Jets:

So stay tuned as we will bring you all of that when the media availability is held as the two insiders say Tuesday but the media release simply says “to the earliest possible time still to be determined”.

Still a few hours before the Jets and Ducks get going here in Winnipeg.
