Talk about a blast from the past as the Jets announced this morning that they are bringing back Marko Dano on a one-year, two way contract with an average annual value in the NHL of $700,000.00.

Dano, fans will recall, was part of the Andrew Ladd trade for the Jets back in February of 2016 and the winger would play 82 games for Winnipeg and six games for their AHL affiliate Manitoba.  He would be claimed by the Avalanche in October of the 2018-19 season but would come back to Winnipeg about a month later when the Jets claimed him back off waivers.  He would spend 2018-19 in the AHL with Manitoba playing a further 51 games with them putting up 12 goals and 18 assists for the Moose.

The Jets did not qualify him at the end of the 2018-19 season and he signed with Columbus for 2019-20 where he played 46 games in Cleveland for their AHL affiliate as well as three games for the Blue Jackets.

He is currently playing with Trencin Dukla of the Slovak league.
