Winnipeg Jets extend qualifying offers to two RFAs

While it was a small number of RFAs needing qualifying offers, the Jets tendered just two of three today.

From 10 RFAs last year to just four this season, only one of whom played in the NHL last season, the Jets’ qualifying list was much lighter. However, they whittled that list from four down to just two who were extended offers by the team, being:

They traded David Gustafsson to the Penguins this afternoon so he came off the list. They also didn’t qualify Jaret Anderson-Dolan which means he becomes a free agent on July 1st.

While Rasmus Kupari is an arbitration eligible RFA he doesn’t need to be qualified again as his offer holds until 2027. It’s somewhat moot when it comes to the speedy Finn as he’s signed a two-year extension in Switzerland that will take him past and ultimately into free agency.
