Just yesterday ahead of puck drop in Philadelphia Jets bench boss Paul Maurice was asked about the status of centre Adam Lowry and he had this to say:
“He’s still aways away. When he comes back though he’ll be at 100%. We’re not going put him in at 75. There’s less pressure now with Cody here. We’ll hopefully get him back to speed. But he’s been off a long time. He and Matty Perreault have missed some time.”.
As you’ll recall Lowry was injured in a game against the Hawks on January 19th and the comment from the coach the next day was it would be at least a month before “we’re talking about his re-entry”.
Today in Buffalo head coach Paul Maurice was asked about the acquisition of Cody Eakin. In his response he added this about Lowry:
“…Adam Lowry, it is going to end up being two months….”
That’s the first time he has indicated it will be that length of time which puts his return to sometime in the third week of March.
