Winnipeg Jets bolster alumni game roster with new additions

More former Jets are set to return to Winnipeg for next season’s alumni game.

While it won’t count in the standings, the Jets’ alumni game could end up being one of the most anticipated events of the 2026-27 season. The game will be part of the Heritage Classic festivities in Winnipeg, where former Jets and Canadiens players will take the ice in addition to the regular-season outdoor matchup between the two clubs at IG Field.

Back in January the Jets released an initial roster of seven players including: Dustin Byfuglien, Blake Wheeler, Bryan Little, Andrew Ladd, Mathieu Perreault, Paul Stastny and Chris Thorburn.

The roster grew considerably today as the organization announced 15 more former players, as well as the head coach who will be behind the bench. Joining the above list will be: Nik Antroprov, Cody Eakin, Eric Fehr, Sam Gagner, Tanner Glass, Anthony Peluso, Jim Slater, Drew Stafford, Tim Stapleton, Grant Clitsome, Tobias Enstrom, Ron Hainsey, Derek Meech, Mark Stuart and goalie Michael Hutchinson.

Also joining the alumni team behind the bench will be Claude Noel, which comes as little surprise given he was the first head coach of the Jets 2.0 era.

One thing to note is Chris Thorburn was left off the updated list. Perhaps there was a conflict which is a shame given his two fellow members of the GST line are set to play in the game.
