Winnipeg Jets agree to terms with Derek Meech

According to a tweet from Winnipeg Jets Director of Corporate Communications and Hockey Operations Scott Brown:

Pierre LeBrun confirms

Meech, a Winnipegger will return to the Jets/IceCaps for at least one more season and will provide a nice source of depth for the Jets should he enter the lineup.

The 28-year-old sat out much of last season with a knee injury, playing in two games with the Jets and six with the IceCaps.

Meech was effective with the IceCaps during their playoff run where he recorded nine points in fifteen games.

Here’s a Derek Meech highlight from last season.
