Winnipeg Free Press: NHL to consider radical realignment. Interesting options. I didn’t think this would impact the East as much as it does but it clearly does when you take a look at the proposed new conferences. What are your thoughts when you see these?
Winnipeg Free Press: Tweets from Board of Governors meeting. If you want to know all the latest happening in sunny Florida but you don’t use twitter, the Free Press has set up a page which will allow you to follow Gary Lawless’ latest news.
FS South: More than meets the eye as Ilya gets booed by Jets fans. Interesting read.
TSN: Jets face big test as Bruins come to town. Will the Jets be able to match their longest home winning streak of the season with a victory over the Bruins?
Winnipeg Free Press: Jets look forward to return of injured players. Ron Hainsey has had terrible luck. He came back from injury, played a great game against the Capitals and then gets a puck in a bad spot and has been out ever since. The Jets have to hope it has healed sufficiently for him to get back into the lineup.
Winnipeg Sun: Jets D-man Hainsey working way back. From the sounds of it, Hainsey won’t likely be playing Tuesday night versus the Bruins but could be ready to go on Friday against the Hurricanes.
Marketing Report: Pizza Pizza sponsors Jets to build western footprint. They are rapidly growing throughout our province although I have yet to try it here in Winnipeg. (I have had it in Toronto back in 2004).
Affiliate news – St. John’s IceCaps:
– Caps recall Tommy Maxwell from Colorado Eagles.
– Caps sign Garth Murray to AHL contact.
– Caps sign Daniel Koger to PTO.
Next opponent news – Boston Bruins:
Comcast New England: Bergeron, Crosby ready for tough matchup. While they might be buddies off the ice, it is going to be all business as the two best teams in the East (based on standings) go head-to-head.
NBC Sports: Healthy Bruins take on less healthy Penguins. Clash of titans. Sorry Monday Night Football, this is the Monday night game to watch.
