Opposition news – New Jersey Devils: Kovalchuk could be out against Jets. Martin Brodeur says he will play Saturday.

ChrisD:  Mike Keane returning for Celebrity Hockey Classic.  A good list of players coming to Winnipeg to help support this worthwhile charity.

The Province:  Kane on upward plane with Jets.  The former Vancouver Giants trio were all reunited last night on Long Island.  Kane especially is showing what he can do with added responsibility.

Arctic Ice:  Behold the future.  Taking a look at all the prospects in the Jets system.

ChrisD:  Jets under the microscope on the road (audio).  Local sports reporters Darrin Bauming and Kevin Hirschfeld have recorded their latest Booth Review podcast — discussing the Winnipeg Jets’ longest road trip of the 2011-12 season.

Opposition news – New Jersey Devils:

TSN:  Devils’ Kovalchuk could be out against Jets.  He is being re-assessed today in order to determine if he is able to play tomorrow night against the Jets.

Star-Ledger:  Martin Brodeur says he will play Saturday for Devils.  It isn’t just the Jets who are dealing with injuries early on this season.  Good news for Devils fans is Marty Brodeur will be between the pipes on Saturday night.
