Note III: Unrelated to tonight’s game but relevant to the Jets it was announced by Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet that Winnipeg has placed Dominic Toninato on waivers. This would seem to suggest that Logan Stanley is healthy and ready to return to the 23-man roster.

TSN: Jets Ice Chips: Maurice makes first trip back to Winnipeg. Paul Maurice returns to Winnipeg for the first time since stepping down from the Jets bench nearly a year ago. When his former team pays tribute to him in the first period, Maurice’s legacy from nine years at the helm will be focused in the Jets’ run to the Western Conference Final four years ago, but after a little over quarter season in the books with Rick Bowness as the new bench boss, the Jets have moved on and upward so far, challenging for first place in the Central Division.
