Winnipeg Free Press: Laine has the right stuff on-ice, but does he have the ‘write’ stuff off-ice? (Paywall).  While it seemed plausible he had written it, I don’t think it matters to fans who will appreciate the sentiment all the same.

The Players Tribune:  Winnipeg is GoodWell if Patrik Laine wasn’t already one of the most popular players on the team in this city I suspect this will put him over the topCouple of things jumped out at me reading this: 1) Love how his assessment of the Jets was based on their NHL rating and 2) His assessment of the people in Winnipeg shows a fairly clear understanding of folks here in Manitoba.

Illegal Curve:  Jets vs. Coyotes pre-game report. Take a look at what happened at the rink this morning as Winnipeg gets ready to face Arizona at Bell MTS Place tonight and hear from Blake Wheeler, Nic Petan and Nikolaj Ehlers.

TSN:  Winnipeg looking improve to 9-0 all-time against Arizona at home.  Sara Orlesky sets up tonight’s game against Arizona, and explains that the Jets will be looking to improve to a perfect 9-0 all-time against the Coyotes on home ice. Orlesky also discusses how Nic Petan and Brendan Lemieux will look to make an impact after being called up on Monday due to injuries.

TSN:  Laine on his Players’ Tribune article, owning Ehlers in CoD and his ‘Amish’ beard.  Patrik Laine discusses the article he posted on The Players’ Tribune website, reiterates how much he loves playing in Winnipeg despite the criticism of the city from other NHLers, jokes about owning Nikolaj Ehlers in the Call of Duty video game, and getting the gears from his teammates about his Amish-looking beard.

Illegal Curve: Coach Maurice pre-game scrum.  Update on players missing from today’s morning skate.  Thoughts on Nic Petan and what he wants from him at centre.  A need for Petan to play defence.   How have Connor/Roslovic generated offence on the limited minutes on the 4th?  Who does he plan on using on the penalty kill?  Would he consider Armia on PK and Petan on PP?  Dustin Byfuglien’s 800th game and what has he learned about him during his time here?  With Scheifele coming back, what changes might we see to the power play?  Update on Mark Scheifele?  What is his message when he is public speaking?  Confidence in Ben Chiarot’s game.
