Winnipeg Sun: Petan returns to the lineup. He’s played well with the Moose this season and will have a chance to help make his case tonight on a 4th line along with Marko Dano and Brendan Lemieux. Petan has played the majority of this season on left wing for Manitoba but did centre a few games for them in November.

Winnipeg Free Press: Laine has the right stuff on-ice, but does he have the ‘write’ stuff off-ice? (Paywall). While it seemed plausible he had written it, I don’t think it matters to fans who will appreciate the sentiment all the same.
The Players Tribune: Winnipeg is Good. Well if Patrik Laine wasn’t already one of the most popular players on the team in this city I suspect this will put him over the top. Couple of things jumped out at me reading this: 1) Love how his assessment of the Jets was based on their NHL rating and 2) His assessment of the people in Winnipeg shows a fairly clear understanding of folks here in Manitoba.
