Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  ‘You can never have enough healthy defencemen’: Maurice.  As the Jets learned in December, you should never take your healthy defence for granted as they quickly started dropping like flies.  He now has an abundance of players on the backend but doesn’t seem overly concerned.

Winnipeg Sun:  Stuart returns, Galiardi placed on waivers.  Ken sets up the game from Consol Energy Centre in Philly.  Join Ken to chat about the game from 5:30 pm to 6 pm about all things Jets.

CBC:  3 things to watch before the Winnipeg Jets take on the Flyers.  Mitch looks ahead at three topics for the game which include: 1) Lineup tweaked 2) Feeling good and 3) Southpaw showdown.

Illegal Curve:  Game day set-up.  Setting up tonight’s Jets and Penguins game with projected lines, starting goalies, games notes and more.

Illegal Curve:  Coach Maurice pre-game scrum (audio).   What does he expect from the Flyers?  What will it mean to have Mark Stuart back in the lineup?  Any concern with having nine healthy defencemen?  How does he manage having that many blueliners?  Might he put Postma up front in an emergency situation?  Galiardi’s status?

Illegal Curve:  TJ Galiardi placed on waivers.  The Jets made some room for a returning Mark Stuart when they placed #21 on non-roster waivers for purpose of designation to St. John’s.

Illegal Curve:  Jets vs. Flyers projected lineupsTake a look at what the lines looked like after practice today and what combos you should expect to see at Wells Fargo Center this evening.

Illegal Curve:  Morning PapersIf you missed any of the news this AM we have you covered.

Flyers news:

Philadelphia Daily News:  Giroux would like to see bout between Flyers’ Berube, Jets’ Byfuglien.  Wouldn’t that be quite the tilt (Berube the player not the coach).  Of course both suggested that they are too old for such shenanigans.
