Winnipeg Sun:  Trading one of their top-six defencemen would be good for business.  Paul with a bold suggestion in today’s column.  While the team clearly could use an addition at forward will Kevin Cheveldayoff and company be willing to part with a core member of the backend?

NHL.com:  Super 16.  The Jets are up to number 11 on the rankings.

CBS Sports:  Which teams are playing like Stanley Cup contenders in 2014-15?  The Jets continue to surprise the hockey world.  Seemed unlikely based on the pre-season prognostications but that is why teams play an entire season and don’t allow the pundits to determine the outcome in advance.

CBS Sports: Dustin Byfuglien has been a human wrecking ball lately. Sometimes you just need to watch what happens to the folks at the receiving end when they have been Byfuglien-ed. Easily my favourite one is the Doughty/Kopitar double take out. If this was Festivus those would be impressive feats of strength.

TSN 1290 Winnipeg:  Rona Roundtable (audio).  Mike Kelly of the NHL Network spoke to Rick about why the Jets are one of his favourite teams to watch this season.

Illegal Curve:  Game day set-up.  Setting up tonight’s Jets and Blackhawks game with projected lines, starting goalies, games notes and more.

Illegal Curve:  Coach Maurice pre-game scrum (audio).  Any changes to his lineup?  Did someone get banged up yesterday?  Any theory why the team is so dangerous short handed?  What has it meant to get Kane going?  Finally having secondary scoring.  Biggest challenge facing a team that has been resting since Sunday?  Sticking with Hutchinson?  Reflections on his team from last night’s game.  Are his players tired?

Illegal Curve:  Jets vs. Blackhawks projected lineupsTake a look at what the lines looked like after practice today and what combos you should expect to see at United Center this evening.

Illegal Curve:  Morning PapersIf you missed any of the news this AM we have you covered.

TSN 1290 Winnipeg:  The Big Show (audio).  Gary Lawless joins the guys to discuss the futures of Michael Frolik, captain Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien, saying Byfuglien’s recent play may make it tough for GM Kevin Cheveldayoff to retain the All-Star’s services after 2016.

TSN 1290 Winnipeg:  The Big Show (audio).  Shane Hnidy joins The Big Show to recap Ondrej Pavelec’s 46-save performance in the Jets’ win over the Stars, saying it was the best goaltending performance he’s seen in the NHL this year, and explains why Michael Hutchinson might have to match Pavelec when the Jets face the Blackhawks.

Blackhawks news:

ESPN Chicago:  Here’s what to watch.  Scott sets you up with the Chicago perspective.
