The Jets were nearing full health as guys were shedding their non-contact jerseys and returning to the lineup. The latest pair to do so were Haydn Fleury and Mason Appleton who will be activated off injured reserve by Winnipeg and play this evening against Colorado.
For Fleury it’s his first game since December 23rd when he suffered a lower-body injury against the Leafs in Toronto. For Appleton he had apparently suffered his a game or two before his last contest but attempted to play through it before going on IR retroactive to the game on December 28th against the Senators in Ottawa. Which means they’ve missed 12 and 11 games respectively.

Had it just been these two being activated the team would have needed to make a corresponding move to ensure they stayed roster compliant with 23 skaters. The likely move would have been to send Moose captain Dominic Toninato back to Manitoba.
Unfortunately for them they added captain Adam Lowry to IR as head coach Scott Arniel announced today that he is out week to week after suffering an injury in the 1st period of the game against Utah on Monday. Tough news for the centre who was on pace to set career highs for goals, assists and points.
