- When asked how they were beaten Ovechkin had this to say “They followed through on their opportunities. That’s it, basically…. Well and some of the goals were questionable. Especially the fourth.”
- In practice today Henrik Lundqvist was bumped by Nik Antropov causing the young goaltender to lie on his stomach and kick his legs in pain for a few minutes before going to the locker room.

- What’s the key to victory for the Devils in game 2? Remaining calm.
