Confirming that Christian Ehrhoff has signed a new contract that will pay him
$9.3 million over the next three years, including $2.75 million in the 2008-09
season. The official announcement is expected tomorrow.

That’s about market value for a young defenseman with Ehrhoff’s skill-set. The big defenseman saw his point totals decrease last season, but he should rebound in 2008/09.
