Seravalli Report: Winnipeg Jets are planning complete overhaul of their coaching staff

Bit of a news bomb today from Frank

Bit of a news bomb from Frank Seravalli of DailyFaceoff this morning as he is reporting the following:

Massive news given a coach like Charlie Huddy has been here since the Jets returned in 2011. Jamie Kompon has been here for six years (since 2016-17) and Dave Lowry the last two seasons.

Join us tonight, at 8:00pm CT, for a special edition of The Illegal Curve Hockey Show, where we’ll discuss this development, Mark Scheifele’s comments and more from the end-of-season media availabilities. In addition, the inimitable Dennis Beyak will join us for an interview.

Update:

Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff held his end of season media availability today and clarified that nobody has been fired. He did say that they will be going through an extensive search and that he offered interim head coach Dave Lowry an interview. Also said he offered that opportunity to the assistant coaches. But further to Frank’s report only coach who seems to have something in place is goalie coach Wade Flaherty.
