Pat Quinn to coach Canada in World Juniors

From TSN:

It appears that Pat Quinn will once again be standing behind the bench for Team Canada.

According to a report in the Hamilton Spectator, the former Toronto Maple Leafs head coach will be named as the head coach of Canada’s national junior hockey team for the upcoming world junior championship, held in Ottawa.

As I’ve said before, I like Pat Quinn as a coach, but I believe this job should go to a younger junior head coach.  Quinn has proven his worth over the past few decades of coaching, so any team interested in hiring him already knows what he brings to the table.  If Team Canada gives a shot to a younger coach it would give that person a chance to make a name for himself.
