What team beat writers are saying this afternoon:
- Randy Carlyle has only positive things to say about coaching Chris Pronger. Will be a big loss to that team, but as Carlyle said, it was almost too good an offer to pass up.
- Martin Havlat loves the Hawks, he loves them not… Hossa isn’t going to say that Havlat told him bad things, so let’s not read into this too much.
- The Kings may be close to signing Teddy Purcell and Jack Johnson to new contracts. Purcell is someone to watch for next season if he’s thrown into a scoring role.
- The Wild has signed Wade Dubielewicz to backup Niklas Backstrom and Josh Harding. They will most likely deal Harding when the right offer comes along.
- The Flames have acquired Keith Seabrook from Washington. Depth on defense.
