Manitoba came into this game looking to build some consistency after losing (in a shootout) the first game of this short, two-game homestand against the Admirals.

Stewart-Lundmark

Notable:
Usually it’s the Moose left side loaded with Jets prospects… today it was the right side: Heinola Gawanke Lundmark.
Just returning from injury Jets 2022 1st rounder Brad Lambert showed off that speed in the 1st period to create a chance.
Somehow despite Arvid Holm having an adventure in goaltending the Admirals didn’t score off this chance.
Right place at the right time for Nicholas Jones who buried the Ville Heinola rebound to give the Moose a 1-0 lead.
I don’t know about you but I cannot recall seeing very many of these types of goals. But first year pro Wyatt Bonigiovanni isn’t gonna complain as he continues his Cy Young season with 5 goals and 0 assists.
Folks have really turned out for the last couple of Moose games. Over 6000 at the first ever Project 11 school day game on Thursday and there are 5000+ here this afternoon for today’s Made in Manitoba game.
Just one goal needed for free pancakes in the 3rd period of the Moose game.
Greg Meireles with what turned out to be the game-winning goal in the 3rd period. Were Moose fans happy that the home team took the lead late in the 3rd period or because they are getting free pancakes? I can say the pancakes announcement did get a bigger cheer than the goal being announced. Ha
I think one of the most crazy things I’ve ever seen with this Moose club took place in the 3rd period. The teams were tied 2-2 with shots sitting 21-22 after 40 minutes. Manitoba didn’t give up a shot in the 3rd. This despite having to kill a penalty and Milwaukee pulling their goalie for almost two minutes to end the game.
The Moose take three out of four points from division leading Admirals as they win 3-2 this afternoon. Manitoba improves to 10-5-2-1 on the season.
