Manitoba Moose Playoff Practice Report

Following a Game 1 loss, the Moose prepare for a do-or-die Game 2.

The Moose are coming off a disappointing Game 1 loss last night which saw them drop the contest 4-1 to the visiting Admirals. Given it’s a best of three series there is no time to lament as they have to get to work ahead of Game 2 on Friday night in downtown Winnipeg.

The team got good news on Wednesday as Elias Salomonsson had been loaned to them but he was in yellow, non-contact for his first skate with his teammates. Head coach Mark Morrison advised yesterday that Salomonsson would skate today and get into contact.

Two more players added to the mix:

Now that Norfolk’s season is done in the ECHL, the Moose have added Jaydon Dureau and Ben Zloty.

Skate news:

It was an optional skate although hard to tell that given there are so many players right now with Manitoba. The most notable factoid is that, as expected, Salomonsson had switched to a regular jersey for today. While we will have to wait for confirmation that he is officially in until tomorrow he sure seemed to be talking like a guy who will be playing.

Player media:

Injured but around:

While he hasn’t been loaned to the team we have seen Nikita Chibrikov with his Moose teammates. We will hopefully get an update on the Jets prospect ahead of tomorrow’s game.

Playoff Tickets:

We will be giving away a few tickets to the upcoming playoff games so stay tuned for that and if you’d like the friends and family deal check out this offer here.

Up next:

The Moose and Admirals will play Game 2 of their first round series tomorrow night here in Winnipeg. Puck drop at 7 PM CT.
