From Mike Boone of the Montreal Gazette:
La Presse reports the Canadiens will retire Patrick Roy’s jersey number in November.
The club would not confirm the story. Columnist Richard Labbé was told the team plans to announce its centennial activities on Sept. 24.

The Canadiens usually take a long time to retire numbers, so it isn’t really a surprise that it took them this long to announce that they were going to raise number 33 to the top of the Bell Centre. The decision really is not difficult, as Roy is arguably the greatest goaltender of all-time and was the main reason behind the Habs’ 1986 and 1993 Stanley Cup victories.
