Game 82: Jets vs. Coyotes pre-game report

A look at the game 82 projected lineup along with pre-game audio.

The final game of the regular season is finally here.  It really is hard to believe that game 82 is upon us but that is just where we find ourselves this Saturday which is the last day of games in the NHL.  By the time the Jets play the Coyotes this evening we will have a decent idea where the Jets will finish as both the Predators and Blues will have played.  With all the drama surrounding this team is certainly adds another element to the conclusion of the 2018-19 regular season.

Since the Jets didn’t skate on Friday we won’t know if there are any lineup changes until morning skate gets underway.  For now it is simply based on the last game.

Morning Skate Notes:

As per Mitchell Clinton of Jets TV a big addition to morning skate in Arizona with Josh Morrissey sporting a regular uniform as opposed to the non-contact jersey he’s been wearing of late.

Jets projected lineup:

Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Ehlers-Hayes-Perreault
Copp-Little-Laine
Lindholm-Lowry-Roslovic

Beaulieu Trouba
Chiarot Byfuglien
Kulikov Myers

Hellebuyck
Comrie

Audio:

Kyle Connor

Nathan Beaulieu

Coach Maurice:  How much scoreboard watching will he be doing?  Update on Josh Morrissey.  Will Comrie back up Hellebuyck tonight?  How is Laurent Brossoit?  Any lineup changes expected?  Did he like the lines?  On the decision to move Little back to the middle and Copp to the wing.  Does he have a defined checking line?  On power play shift length.  Will he leave Trouba on the first power play unit?  What are the dangers of facing a team that has been eliminated?  Anything new with Tanev?  What did he like about Lindholm’s game?  Will Hellebuyck play the entire game?  On the importance to give Hellebuyck rest last week.
