Game 8: Winnipeg Jets vs Calgary Flames pre-game report

A look at the projected lineups and pre-game interviews.

The Jets will face the Flames for the second time in four days after defeating them in Calgary on Monday. Since that loss they hosted the Canadiens which they also lost (in OT) which means they are on a seven game (0-6-1) slide.

Meanwhile Winnipeg saw their win streak get snapped last night as the Kraken came to town and handed the home team an L which dropped them to 5-2-0 on the season. Pretty notable that Luke Schenn only played 9:13 in the game with the next closest Dman being Haydn Fleury who played over six minutes more than him (15:30). Might we see Colin Miller get his second start and first on his normal side?

According to Pat Steinberg, who covers the Flames for Sportsnet 960, indicated yesterday that Nazem Kadri missed practice due to maintenance.

Skate news:

Just a handful of guys skated today. The comments from coach didn’t give any indication that there would be any line changes although if one was a betting man, it seems like Miller could come in for Schenn and Ford for Lambert. We shall have to wait and see what warm-up brings.

Warm-up skate:

As per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press two swaps as Nikita Chibrikov comes in for Brad Lambert and Colin Miller in for Luke Schenn.
