Just as everyone predicted the Jets defeat the defending Stanley Cup champion Lightning 7-4 in the fourth and final game of this homestand. A game they absolutely had to win.

Notable:
Jets honoured Canadian gold medalist and Manitoban Jocelyn Larocque with tonight’s ceremonial puck drop.
Believe for the first time the Jets game featured the four regular female anthems (Stacey Nattrass, Beverley Wynne, Ashley Klimpke and Sarah Baxter) performing the Canadian and American anthems together during tonight’s gender equality game. They did a great job.
Four goals in the last six games for Adam Lowry. We spoke about the Jets needing scoring from their third line and he has been providing that of late.
Paul Stastny has 17 goals in 46 games for the Jets. He had 17 in 71 games for Vegas two years ago. His career high is 28 in 2006-07 with Colorado. Not too shabby when you consider he’s 36.
There is a new intermission promo here in Winnipeg. Has a very Atlanta Braves feel with the “Beat the Freeze” promotion. Except racers don’t go at same time. Watch it in part here.
Josh Morrissey ties his career high for goals scored with number 7 this evening. He also scored seven in 2017-18. This season he has accomplished that total in 27 fewer games.
Blake Wheeler picked up his 500th assist with the Jets/Thrashers franchise on that Josh Morrissey goal (he has 490 with the Jets 2.0 franchise).
Multi points:
Mark Scheifele 1G 3A
Paul Stastny 2G
Kyle Connor 1G 1A
Josh Morrissey 1G 1A
Blake Wheeler 2A
