Recap:
There is just something about the Jets playing Central division teams. They walked into Chicago and played a solid 60 minute road game against the Hawks. Two 1st period goals by Blake Wheeler (11th) & Mark Scheifele (15th) would be enough and they got an insurance goal from Drew Stafford in the 3rd for a 3-1 win. Winnipeg was also perfect on the penalty kill not allowing much on any of the three Chicago power plays. They have won all three games against the Hawks this season (outscoring Chicago 9-2 in those games). The Jets are now 9-4-1 against teams in the Central this season. Connor Hellebuyck was solid making 34 of 35 saves.
Up next the Jets will face the Blue Jackets in Winnipeg on Thursday night. Columbus is riding a 13 game win streak. So it won’t be easy as the Jets look to win their third game in a row for the umpteenth time.

Paul Maurice: His thoughts on the game. On the effort from Connor Hellebuyck. What will a goal like that mean for Stafford? Having the team playing so consistently against the Hawks. How can they get that to translate to games against other teams? Thoughts on Columbis? Is there an advantage to having a young team facing a team like the Hawks?
