Game 32: Jets vs Coyotes pre-game report

A look at the projected lineups and pre-game interviews.

The Jets 2.0 are looking for a measure of revenge against the Jets 1.0 after Arizona came to Manitoba at the end of November and stole two points from Winnipeg courtesy of a 46 save shutout by Karel Vejmelka.

We do know that 4th line centre David Gustafsson won’t be playing tonight after not returning after the 1st intermission of the afternoon win in Vegas on Sunday. Which player will be taking his spot is unknown as Jets interim head coach Dave Lowry wasn’t prepared to reveal his hand on Monday.

The options are CJ Suess, Cole Perfetti (currently on the trip on the taxi squad) or Evgeny Svechnikov. Now the Svechnikov is the only one of the three who doesn’t play centre. It is possible Lowry drops Harkins to 4th line centre and reunites Svechnikov with Dubois and Connor. He could also put Perfetti or Suess into his lineup. Or simply put Toninato at centre.

Morning skate:

According to Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press all available players are on the ice at Gila River Arena for morning skate. According to the lines and D pairs Mike tweeted out it looks like Evgeny Svechnikov will draw back into the lineup and also he indicates that Connor Hellebuyck is in the starter’s net.
