The Jets win streak comes to an end in Dallas. The controversy surrounds the second Stars goal when it appeared that Jason Dickinson was offside but it was ruled a good goal and even after a challenge it was ruled a good goal. Winnipeg managed to tie it after going down 3-0 but allowed a quick strike by Dallas to make it 4-3. They will finish the road trip 3-1-0 as they suffer just their second regulation loss in November and fall to 13-9-1 on the season.
For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from the game via Natural Stat Trick.
– Patrik Laine scored his 17th goal against Dallas in his 15th game;
– Luca Sbisa scored his first goal as a member of the Jets.
– That was Sbisa’s first goal since February 21st, 2018 when he played for Vegas.
Coach Maurice: Thoughts on the battle from his group. Explanation he got on the second Stars goal. What was the challenge their defensive group offers? On the Stars game winner. How would he assess the road trip as a whole? On changing up the lines.
