Game 23: Jets 5 Ducks 2 post-game recap

Post-game recap and interviews with Jets players as well as head coach Rick Bowness.

The Jets successfully Duck hunted this afternoon picking up a 5-2 win over Anaheim to improve to 15-7-1.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats click here to see the results from the game via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable:

Adam Lowry moved past Bryan Little into sole possession of 3rd spot on the Jets 2.0 games played with game 562 today.

Also Nate Schmidt has now played in 100 games wearing a Winnipeg uniform.

After playing 105 games in a Jets uniform Nate Beaulieu got a mention during the commercial timeout and he thanked the Winnipeg crowd for the applause.

Saku Maenalanen tied his career high in goals (4) that he set in his only other NHL season when he was with the Hurricanes in 2018-19. Got to that mark in 11 fewer games this time around.

Nice promotion for Mikey Eyssimont who got put up on a line with Pierre-Luc Dubois and Kyle Connor.

Good time for Dylan Samberg to score his first NHL goal.

Two goals in :49 seconds were the difference in the 3rd period with Morgan Barron and Mark Scheifele goals.

Nate Schmidt played Mambo No. 5 with a late goal.

The highlight of the game might have been this Jets fan who brought his duck call to the game. Which I may have modified to give it an old school Nintendo vibe.

Saku Maenalanen 1G 1A
