After a successful home stand the Jets fell flat in their first road contest of four this week dropping a 5-3 decision to division rival Predators. The team was down 4-1 after 40 minutes when they were outscored 3-0 in the middle frame. They crept closer in the end but couldn’t overcome their mistakes. About the only positive for the team was the play of Matheiu Perreault, who had two of the three goals for Winnipeg tonight, and now has four goals in his last three games.
For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from tonight’s game via Natural Stat Trick.
Notable:
– This was the first Jets loss to a central division rival in five games.
– Patrick Laine’s point streak ends at eight games (6 goals and 3 assists).
