Gabriel Vilardi to play for Canada at the World Championship

Jets winger Gabriel Vilardi had a career season for Winnipeg putting up the most goals, assists and points as well as playing a full 82-game season.

On Friday he was asked if he was playing in next month’s World Championship for Canada. He said he would go if he was asked but hadn’t been yet.

Today, in head coach Scott Arniel’s end of season media availability he advised that Vilardi would be playing for Team Canada.

So his season will continue alongside Mark Scheifele and Dylan DeMelo.
