We kicked off day 2 with an extended version of the Illegal Curve Hockey Show as Drew, Ez and I went over day 1 including the selection of Sascha Boumedienne in 1st round, we looked ahead to free agency, discussed the Nikolaj Ehlers situation as well as Brock Boeser as a replacement, what other moves Winnipeg might make in free agency. We had an extensive trip to the buffet with Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Free Press and then we ended the show with a chat with the newest 1st rounder Sascha Boumedienne.

Just as we were ending today’s IC Hockey Show the Jets announced they had extended Haydn Fleury to a two-year deal. Not a big surprise given how he expressed his desire to stay in Winnipeg at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season.
