The 11-year veteran has begun a skating program and said he should be ready for the start of training camp Sept.20. Actually, Morrison knows he won’t truly be ready until he gets that first taste of contact.
But he is pleased with his recovery from season-ending surgery to repair a torn ACL on April 7.

The Ducks are hoping that Morrison can give them the production they lost when they dealt Andy McDonald for cap reasons last season. If he is healthy, Morrison should be a solid second-line center for the veteran Ducks.
